Led Zeppelin is back with a bang. Their first live performance after 19 long years has left 20,000 audience speechless.

The concert which was dubbed as ‘rock’s biggest reunion‘ by other stars left the audience unsatiated and asking for more. Some of the concertgoers described the event as unforgettable experience and a monumental event, that they are proud to be attached with. Indeed, the audience tasted that electrifying experience of early 70’s as founder members Jimmy Page, Plant and John Paul Jones and band’s late drummer John Bonham’s son Jason Bonham continued their scintillating performance.

An array of former rockers was noticed as Noel Gallagher of Oasis, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters enjoyed the show.

However, the reunion kept the world guessing if the band will embark on a world tour. It makes ‘Led Zep’’, the member of that elite group of reunion which has The Police, Eagles and Who as some of the prominent members.

The assumption held by experts regarding Indian business’s latest fad for ‘joint ventures’ following TATA’s example has once again been proved. Praj Industries following latest mantra of various business honchos has tied up with Brazil’s Jaragua Equipments Industries resulting in a new joint venture company named Praj Jaragua Bioenergia S.A.

54 per cent stake of the venture will be with Praj while the rest with Jaragua. According to industry experts, the venture will offer a smooth entry to Praj into an otherwise growing market of ethanol.

Praj’s Chairman Pramod Chaudhari, while talking to reporters stated that the formation of new company shows the commitment on their part to Brazil’s ethanol market. He added further that the company would be looking for a long haul in Brazil. He affirmed that the new formed company would continue to work closely with Brazilian customers with the aim set in enhancement of performance of various plants as well as return on investments.

There is one real life saga, which is keeping nothing short of making it even a bigger success than the reel drama.

According to various reports, the spat between bollywood’s unofficial first family, the Bachchans and Bollywood is showing no signs of softening up. The reported spat, took an official turn when Bachchans ignored almost entire bollywood by not inviting some of the most prominent names of the industry.

Although, it seems that the phrase ‘time is the best healer’ doesn’t have any taker in Bollywood as the industry gets charged-up to face another alleged attempt by Bachchans to promote their family.

The latest round as per various cropped up report’s indication, is centered around ‘Unforgettable 2008′, a much hyped-up world tour organized by Bachchans. The rumors say that the proposed tour is projecting junior Bachchans hogging the main focus. Incensed at this alleged attempt, some of the co-stars including Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham decided not to form a part of the tour.

Who says, the real drama can’t get anywhere near to the reel ones?

After 60 years of independence for the first time, the awe-inspiring Rashtrapati Bhavan would be thrown open for common people. In a major attempt aiming to make this splendid building a definite fixture in every tourist’s itinerary, a vast array of plans has been undertaken.

The efforts are already on to enable the tourists to watch ceremonial change of guard from Saturday itself. Even as the tourists will be joined by elite soldiers of both forms of foot and horse-mounted from Raisina Hills up to the gates of the President’s House as the change of guard ceremony undergoes.

A distinct tone of reinvention of the grandeur building and the aura surrounded around it sounded from the officials behind the plan. Accordingly, Dr. Christy Fernandez, Secretary to the President, while talking to media stated that they were reinventing and presenting the ceremony in a new way and with a certain purpose.

Australia finally completed her ratification of the Kyoto Protocol on Wednesday leaving United States the only country to banish the UN treaty on global warming.

While undergoing his first overseas visit abroad after acquiring office Mr. Kevin Rudd, Australia’s new Prime Minister rendered necessary documents ratifying the Kyoto Protocol to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

Rudd stressed that all nations irrespective of their economic progress should contribute in the fight against fighting global warming while speaking at the occasion.

This stance though has come under scanner as some prominent environmentalists suggested that the nation was actually busy in working behind the scenes to derail some future climate deals.

Newly elected Australian Prime Minister reportedly stated that the ratification had been a decision of their government. He went to add that the decision had been taken on the first day of government in office and hence, he clarified that the decision was a great honor to present to the world.

The man who succeeded to turn world’s biggest railway network around to a profitable sector has promised for a ‘pro-people super budget’.

Inspired by the Chinese experiment of connecting Tibet by railway, India also, has planned a similar connection that will traverse the place of spectacular beauty, the Jammu & Kashmir.

A few months ago China made history by introducing a railway connection to Tibet. Many wondered the prospect that India has in and around Kashmir valley if something like this is introduced.

To the excitement of many, that process has already been started by the Indian Railways. From next February the train will start its journey from Kakapore to Rajwansher via Srinagar. Though the entire stretch from baramullah to Jammu will take little more than a year to complete.

The main attractions will be the places with mean sea level of around 1500 meters that this route will traverse. This includes the places around Pir Panjal mountain range to Chinar lined gateways via the longest tunnel of 11.4 kilometers through the Pir Panjal range. It has been claimed by the railways that it will take 8-10 hours to cover the entire stretch of Jammu-Baramullah.

The design of tracks has been quite a remarkable one defying the fear of earthquake. The last devastating experience had been the one that shook the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir in October 2005 with the magnitude reaching 8.5. The engineers working on the project claimed to have a design that can withstand any seismological disturbances. For the other and more imminent threat of terrorism the security agencies are taking stringent measures to tackle any such situation.

With the capacity of 40 trains running daily in both ways the tourists should not have any problem to enjoy this superb journey to its most.

Speed-up, that’s what government is contemplating, now. Get ready for a fast journey by road, hitherto not experienced.

The government is planning to set-up high-speed toll roads to lessen the time to connect to major cities in country. National Highway Authority of India will be in charge of this project that will be in addition to existing national highways.

The important connections between major cities that have been planned are the Mumbai to Vadodara, Delhi to Chandigarh, Delhi to Jaipur. One other route being considered is Chennai to Bengaluru. According to senior government sources, all the stretches might not get materialized though it has been decided that either Delhi to Jaipur or Delhi to Chandigarh and Mumbai to vadodara stretch will be the first to be taken up for construction.

The project, under the National Highway Development Program, will ensure that the cattle or the human movement doesn’t affect the vehicle speed and all the other facilities would be there as expected from national highways.

The study of feasibility of projects is expected to be over by next 9 months. It’s planned to award the tender by the end of 2007 and the expectation for completion of the project is kept to 4 years.

Although, if some relevant factors are kept in mind the claim on the part of Government may not sound as well planned as earlier. The fact that the acquisition of land is one primary factor that doesn’t show any indication to die down and the question of generating adequate traffic for the justification of additional cost are the two immensely important matters.

By tackling these problems the completion of project is unlikely to be completed within next 4-5 years. Though it doesn’t pay much to be an optimistic.

The days are gone of that harrowing time of traveling up to a metropolis to catch a flight. It may sound unreal but true it is, that Boeings and Airbuses are not any more far for the comparatively small cities.

It all started 3 years ago when three small cities were connected to foreign by direct flights. From then on the list is growing and now it reached to 15 including Guwahati, Gaya, Lucknow, Amritsar, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Goa, Nagpur, Pune, Calicut, Thiruvananthapuram, Cochin, Trichy and Coimbatore. This isn’t the end though and according to government sources, who assured that soon new entrants would be there in the form of Madurai, Mangalore and Kanpur.

According to reports there are 35 cities in the country with population of more than 1 million. Reasons like the more opportunity in the Middle East and no connectivity with foreign in a large area, made the major players think to invest in the region. For example, entire central part of the country was without any connection to foreign even couple of years ago. Foreign aviation companies often start with the profitable non-metro routes in India and go on to expand later in the whole country.

With news like increase in GDP and per capita income due to which a situation of more profitability where these places will reach within few years, would actually make the aviation industry happier.

The expectation is high with instances like these to assume for a completely new scenario where the small cities, as well, will be connected with London, New York and other prominent destinations.
