
‘Aam aadmi’ is on the way of expecting another ‘pro-people’ budget from Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Railway minister. The man who succeeded to turn world’s biggest railway network around to a profitable sector has promised for a ‘pro-people super budget’.
He was inaugurating a new broad-gauge section between Subramanya Road and Sakleshpur. He emphasized that the proposed budget will help those for whom railway remains the sole means of travel. While flagging off train services between Bangalore and Mangalore Central railway Station, he added further that other services of Indian railway as well will see a facelift.
The minister went to add further that his ministry has been instrumental in providing better infrastructural facilities in last four rail budgets. According to Mr. Yadav the railway has experienced a large turn around in relation to the revenue during the last few years.
He promised to initiate the work on the memorandum which was submitted to him stating number of demands from Karnataka after a through discussion with all MPs before the budget. The works as stated on the memorandum, he promised would soon be under way based on the availability of fund.
