Recent dope scandal has taken Pakistan cricket into a new turmoil. Pakistan cricket with much resemblance with their political environment is familiar with all sorts of troubles.

The latest controversy regarding the dope scandal has some very important implications to them. Firstly the prospect for the world-cup has got a major jolt. With two frontline pacers out of the team it would indeed be a problematic tour especially when other pacers aren’t showing exactly good performances.

Secondly, the credibility of the cricket establishment is getting to no better situation especially after this event within six years of match-fixing scandal.

Print media reports and some of the former cricketers like Imran Khan suggested the factional feud in the cricket board as the real reason. Though what exactly prompted the renowned players to make such a damaging move isn’t clear. With the coach, Mr. Bob Woolmer, taking the responsibility for this tragic event the already vague situation has worsened further.
